Head to the Queen's House for an evening of musical delights, performed by harp students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Relax in the sumptuous surroundings of the Great Hall and be transported by soaring melodies and motifs.
This concert is the first in a series of evening performances at the Queen's House, organised in partnership with the Faculty of Music at Trinity Laban. We are delighted to collaborate with Trinity Laban and contribute to the personal and professional development of the students.

Performers
Maria McNamee, harp
A UK Harp Association Emerging Artist, Maria McNamee is a harpist from Ireland and began playing the harp at the age of nine, embracing both traditional Irish and classical music. In 2021 she graduated with a first-class honour's degree and the TCL silver medal from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She also received a distinction in her masters degree, having studied with Gabriella Dall’Olio and Frances Kelly.
Prior to her studies in London, Maria spent six years at Chetham’s School of Music learning from Marie Leenhardt and Eleanor Hudson.
Maria is a keen orchestral player, currently co-principal harp of the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra and has been performing with the Ulster Orchestra. Maria also performs as part of many chamber groups, including Isla Duo (cello and harp), Green Time Folk (fiddle, bodhran, lever harp) and the Aura Harp Duo (two pedal harps). The Aura Duo (with harpist Clara Gatti Comini) was recently selected as one of the UK Harp Association's Emerging Artists and will be devising a series of recitals to take place in Autumn 2024.
Christabelle Sheum, harp
Christabelle is currently a second year undergraduate student at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, studying under Gabriella Dall’Olio. Christabelle was a member of the reputable Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra from 2016-2023, and became its President in 2022.
She has performed in many prestigious events both locally and internationally, in locations including France, Korea and New York.
Christabelle has also participated in and won several music competitions. She received the Audience Choice Award in the Young Talents Project hosted by Mediacorp, as well as the Gold Award (with Honours) for Chamber Music Competition (Flute and Harp duet) in Singapore Raffles International Music Festival.
She was awarded first place for the American Protégé International Piano and String Competitions held at Carnegie Hall, New York and achieved Distinction in the Rave Harps Prestige Award, Young Professional category.
